Thanks to “Leonardo”, the Carabinieri Department Cultural Heritage Supervision has a new instrument to investigate and plan measures to safeguard works of art.
Technology Reply, the Reply Group’s company specialized in Oracle technology, has received the prestigious OPN (Oracle Partner Network) Innovation Awards EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in Dubai for its “Leonardo” project, developed for the Carabinieri Department Cultural Heritage Supervision (Comando Carabinieri Tutela Patrimonio Culturale, CCTPC).
Through the OPN Innovation Awards, Oracle encourage and reward innovation by OPN members, where initiatives using Oracle’s products and technology are applied to create value for the customer and generate new business potential.
The Leonardo System responds perfectly to the above mentioned characteristics: the project indeed, designed and executed by Technology Reply for the Carabinieri Department Cultural Heritage Supervision, represents a highly innovative tool to monitor, identify, and recover stolen works of art, while implementing effective measures for the prevention and protection of the artistic heritage and for fighting crime.
Reply not only shored up the technological infrastructure, software and networks, but also reorganized the entire on-line database of the CCTPC, introducing new cataloguing functions, advanced functions for tracking down works of art, geographic analysis, investigative and positioning analysis.
In particular, the Leonardo System uses a multilingual interface and is characterized by access methods via innovative channels, web and mobile. It is based on standards which guarantee high levels of flexibility and security.
